This blog will help you turn memories into meaningful stories for your family. We will sample three techniques to show how to take life experiences and create a memoir to record these events. By the end of this session, we will have drafted an introduction and outline to help them produce personal stories cherished by your family for generations to come.

Retro TV Memory Prompts
Here is an idea for writing a memoir using your favorite Retro TV shows. Stop and think; what were you doing the last time you saw "The Six Million Dollar Man" or "The Rifleman?" Where were you? Were you in school? Who were you with? What were your other favorite shows? Your hobbies? Are the Retro shows new to you because you were always studying or going out? Are they accurate reflections of your memories? You could pair a scrapbook page with old photos and some reviews of the show, or old TV Guide pages, usually available on The Net. Have fun!
